An Update from us on COVID-19
Good morning and Merry Christmas to all,
I write to you today to make you aware of our weekly testing results.
Although due to the holiday timing, only a portion of our results are in
and we do not anticipate the remainder of the results to come in until
Saturday and Sunday. As of this writing we have 2 new positive cases,
both residents in our Assisted Living. One individual is asymptomatic,
the other is experiencing mild cold symptoms. Both are isolating in
their apartments. Therefore our current numbers are :
Current Positive 5 (3 residents and 2 staff)
Current Suspected: 0
Total Cumulative cases: 16
Because of this we have closed visitation for the Assisted Living, as
well as communal dining and activities. We have made the proper
notifications and will continue to monitor these residents closely as
well as watch for symptom development in the others.
For now, visitation in the nursing home side is still permitted,
however, we will close this to visitation as well if we receive positive
test results in this population.
This is not the Christmas any of us were hoping for. With our first
clinic date (tentative) just 2 weeks away, we will continue to work hard
at preventing this virus from spreading and keep you informed.
